Following are the Some of the Reasons You Should Not Purchase a Bulldog Puppy from Any Importer!

Buying an expensive puppy such as an English bulldog puppy for sale from an importer is a recipe for trouble. In most cases the importer is reselling a puppy that she has never seen, or if she has seen the puppy she has not seen either of the parents or grandparents. In the rare occasion the importer will have taken a trip once or twice and seen some of the dogs that are in the lineage of puppies they sell. But that may have been several years ago and in truth they will know very little about the day-to-day health of the dogs they are selling puppies from.

If you are wondering why the importers are doing this, it all comes down to money. That is money with a big emphasis on the word money! You should not be fooled by the beautiful pictures or fancy websites they have. These are the tools they use to get your money after fooling you. They will have spent a great deal of money on those beautiful pictures and top notch websites they use. They will not have spent any money gaining firsthand knowledge or experience with the English Bulldog puppies they advertise for sale or finding out anything about the puppy’s parents or grandparents. When you are searching to buy a puppy, especially the English Bulldog puppy, you should never purchase a cheap import puppy which comes from unknown lines just because of the cute wrinkly puppy in the picture on a website.

As per the OFA website there are less than 152 English Bulldogs whose hips have had X rays submitted for certification. You can verify this by going to the offa.org and then selecting the bulldog breed and then for the reports selection choosing hips. Since it is common for bulldogs to have breathing and hip problems, you will save much time and grief when you buy from a reputable broker. If you buy from a broker who imports puppies of unknown origin that is exactly what you are getting. Puppies of unknown origin.

The most deceiving aspect from these importers is the way in which they can easily pass off their puppies as being top notch, “cream of their crops” with the high dollar prices they charge and through professional pictures. Marketing their wares is what the importers are very good at. Before it is over, you will feel like you need to prove that you are indeed qualified to purchase their puppy, prove to them you will give the puppy a good home. Part of their deception is having you sign an agreement with them, stating you promise to care for the puppy by their terms and different conditions they dictate. For these importers, marketing is the biggest scam; they resell puppies of unverifiable origin, with no knowledge of any possible health issue in their specific blood line, and are able to continue doing this because of their workable marketing scams.

There are however a few breeders who import a litter from time to time. There may be even reputable show breeders among them. Generally what they do is to keep aside a select puppy for themselves and sell the rest of the lot. So you can often get the real deal with them. But as for the other breeds of importers, you should do good to be on your guard before purchasing an English bulldog puppy from them.
