SlasherX asked:

I mean it something people talk about with all their friends. Millions of dollars are spent on advertisements. And we have (atleast) five stations that I can think off hand that are dedicated to it. So how many counties outside of the U.S. really have politics play such an important role in their culture.

How many of you only get your news information from Fox & Rush Limbaugh?

Throw in Hannity too. Just curious about how broad your informational base is, and how intellectually curious you are about collecting opinions from various sources before you form your opinions.
I typically read from/watch every source I can. Fox, BBC, CNN, internet, Al Jezeera even. Foreign resources interest me particularly.

When I have the time, I’ll find original transcripts and documents. The freedom of Information Act provides for more access to important US documents than most realize.

The Government web sites are on the level also. By law they have to be factual.

Is politics a pure waste of time to follow?

. asked:

I have not seen much come out of any political candidate. You can vote for your favorite candidate, but your life probably still remains same or worsens. Same holds if the opponent is elected. Then why follow politics as if its most important thing in the world?
